The Magic Handbag

Kurt tells the girls stories most nights - they insist that they are stories about 2 little girls - one named Mila and one name Julia. Then they participate by adding their parts to the story. Kurt was telling Mila a story the other night in which she recieved a wish from a fairy for rescuing her (I think that was how it went). Mila wished for a magic bag that would have whatever she wanted in it whenever she opened it... smart kid, right! Then she asked Kurt what Mila's Papa would wish for (in the story, of course) and pulled it out of her handbag for him. Julia wished for Candy and Mila pulled that out of her bag too. Then Mila asked Kurt what he thought Mama would wish for. Kurt said more sleep. Without hesitation Mila pulled out a pill.... which she gave to Mama and Mama slept well!!

Just for the record I am not a pill popper but have been known to slip my kids some melatonin when we have travelled across timezones to help them get to sleep. Apparently this has made quite an impression!

I'm pretty sure my kids get colds when we travel for more than 10 hours in one day in the car. That is why they need BENADRYL to make them feel better & sleep while we travel. lol (wink wink).

Love that Magic Handbag story...I need to get me one of those! :)
