Firstly, I am thrilled to report that Liam's surgery has led to a miraculous improvement in speech and breathing in general. His doctor mentioned that it was very satisfying to remove his adenoids, which she described as huge. I was sceptical as to whether it would resolve his snoring - and it did not for the first week (probably due to swelling) but now he is sleeping rather peacefully.... if it was not for Mila's snoring right next to him. What a relief! We have a follow-up appointment on Friday. I will most likely be booking Mila in for the same procedure soon.
Mila and Liam sleep in the same bed these days. Liam started climbing out of his crib and just climbing into bed with Mila about a month ago. Mila encouraged this. She cuddles him and reads to him and he just adores her. They are so sweet. I feel warm all over when I check in on them before I go to sleep and they are snuggled up together, sometimes holding hands, or Mila will have her arm over Liam.
Julia is revelling in her space. She loves having her room to herself. She loves maintaining order and neatness and closes her door when she is not inside too protect her sacred space from a would be invader.
And so we move forward. Each of us growing and changing.

As for the raccoons in our roof .... some more investigating has left me rather empathetic towards our uninvited roof dwellers the mother raccoon has THREE babies. Quite adorable really. But it was time they moved out. After surfing the web we used a combination of loud noise and disturbing smells to annoy them out of there. Now to repair the roof/chimney.
