Catching Flies

Mila's interest in pets of all kinds has extended to flies! Yesterday she caught 3 flies with her bare hands (yes we are getting flies in our home ..yuk). Luckily Kurt and I are pretty skilled with a fly swatter! To think we might never have discovered Mila's fly-catching talent if we had stayed in Oregon ... what a waste that would have been;).


At first Mila followed our example and caught flies to dispose of them. But yesterday she told me :"I was about to catch a fly when it looked at me and did this -(she rubbed her hands together)- I think it was saying it was hungry!"


Next thing I know we have 3 flies in an old peanut butter jar named ...yes named : Shallowpooh, Butterfly-cupcake and Doorknob. What an interesting life we lead.
