Last night Julia came out of her room at 1:59am. I heard her, so in an attempt to stop her waking up Kurt I met her on her way down the stairs and redirected her to her bed. She told me that she had heard a GIANT's footsteps in her room! Poor thing. She has entered the age of overactive imaginations.
I took the girls to the weekly playgroup that our ward does on Wednesday mornings. Last week they had a very well organised Valentine - themed group... with cookie decorating and story-time. And Valentine "candy" trick or treating. For obvious reasons the girls loved it. Julia tells me all the time :"I like my friends, mom" with a big grin on her face.
Our Ward is very large. There are 2 nurseries... lots of children. Mila and Julia seemed to have settled in quickly at church. The first day we dropped off Julia, a couple of other kids were crying, but they had some puzzles set out on the table and Julia just sat down and started doing a puzzle. She seems to have just blossomed with the move. I am sure it is a combination of benig a few months older and getting out more. Julia and I have that in common - got to have our exercise and outings.
Yesterday we met a family with 3 children about the same age as ours - Ammon 4.5, Natalie, 2.5 and Ella (couple of months). They arrived a little late (so did we of course) and then stayed on with us after everyone else had left. The weather was great yesterday so we met at the park for playgroup. Mila, Ammon, Julia and Natalie all played so well together. They were exploring, fighting monsters, climbing trees, collecting rocks. Mila and Ammon seemed to take turns leading the expeditions and directing the games!
Breakfast time.. got to go. "ta daa" Julia just opened the cereal.

We are going through the monster phase in our house too...Nixon thinks they are everywhere! :)
Oh good you found my blog... I am just starting and have been wondering whether or not I should tell people about it - I am using this as my journal of sorts. So that I have SOMETHING. I thought it was a great idea of yours to get it printed in a book! I have not got the photos etc figured out yet ... but I will get there.
