This is what Mila told us on Saturday evening. She is listening to a book on CD from the library "Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg". She has been listening to it a LOT and is coming up with some very interesting phrases and questions. I LOVE THE LIBRARY (except when I don't return stuff on time and rack up fines!). Julia's favourite phrase at the moment is "I like my friends". She often introduces it with a loud "SO" to get everyone's attention. She is really enjoying church - there are a lot of children her age. She will wake up some mornings and say "can we go to church today?"
Liam is sick at the moment - he is snotty and snorty and generally unhappy. His top teeth (which I thought he would cut last weekend) are bulging white through his gums. Sometimes I wonder if it is taking longer for him to cut them because he is not eating any solids yet (but 2 teeth is more that most kids his age have!). My days of breastfeeding somewhat discreetly are apparently over. He snorts so much that everyone can hear him even when he is not feeding!! And now he insists on taking a break every few seconds to survey the surroundings and make sure he isn't missing out on anything!!
Liam is sleeping through the night despite not having solids, so I continue to wait... postponing the inevitable inconvenience of having one more thing to take along every time we venture out and the mess that comes along with it. I would like to hold off on solids till he can eat what everyone else can... we'll see how that pans out!! Also a part of me wants to just keep him a baby. He has started crawling (well maneuvering himself by rolling, pulling and pushing himself -it is not quite a crawl but he gets around!!).
