On Monday night Kurt and I went on a date and left the children in the capable hands of Mom and Dad. We had the most wonderful evening. We went to The Cheesecake Factory (first time) AND watched a movie. It was so lovely -the food was very tastey... and the company... well what can I say, I married the guy 'cos I enjoy his company so much!! We will have have to go back for the cheesecake though - didn't have time (or space) for dessert.
Talking about cheescake though, I made a WICKED cheesecake on Monday morning - same recipe as before from Carnegies but I nailed it this time. Texture was amazing. I am talking about it in past tense because it did not last long. I sent a couple of pieces with my folks to take with them to Salt Lake and the rest was devoured. I could carry on and on about cheesecake .. but let me just say that if you are an aspiring cheesecake baker (ie you are like me and can think of nothing better than eating a really good cheesecake). Print out the recipe from the Carnegies website and gve me a call - I will fill in the gaps they leave out as best I can. It is THE BEST.
