Today was very encouraging - Mila had her guitar lesson and played very well. I was a little surprised because I have been in orientation most of the week so have not had anything to do with her practices (other than "Mila it is time for you to practice").
Last week at her practice I just wanted to cry - I was totally stressed about her hearing, and throughout the lesson she was not able to hear what her teacher was saying. At one point he sang a few notes "C, G E E D" while he played the notes and she just started laughing. We both wanted to know what was so funny and she said : "Why are you saying E E E E E?". Then she had to put her guitar down and come up right up to me so that I could repeat her teacher's instructions loudly in her ear at another time.
Her hearing seems improved - she could hear him today. It has been a long time ( a few months) since I have been able to say that. Kurt gave her a blessing and we have been giving her cellfood - an oral oxygen therapy product for about two weeks now. We will see the ENT next Wednesday.

I'm thinking about you my friend and will keep Mila in our prayers.
For what it's worth, my sister in laws daughter (now 10) has lost most of her hearing - she can't hear when you stand behind or even next to her but she's the hardest working, smartest, most talented little girl you can imagine...
Thank you, Andriette, for your thoughts and support.
