Mila's Hearing

It is frustrating when the only child that would listen to me cannot hear what I am saying.



I feel this huge responsibility for everyone's health in the family, and Mila's hearing loss is stressing me out on every level!! About a year ago I had her hearing tested and they confirmed she had some conductive hearing loss. At the time we thought it was fluid in her ears after a viral infection and that it would resolve spontaneously. It did improve somewhat with ear candles and some homeopathic stuff I found... but the last few weeks her hearing has diminished dramatically. If she is in the same room, but has her back turned to me, she has no idea that I am speaking to her.


Just came back from a doctors appointment for Mila- very concerned about her hearing. My instinct was to go straight to an ENT, so I made that appiontment on Monday. But feeling so frustrated and feeling like I was just not DOING anything to help her, I saw a family doctor today. The last few days it seems her hearing gets worse daily. Unfortunately we are no closer to knowing what is causing her hearing loss. We know it is conductive hearing loss caused probably by something that is imparing the vibration of her ear drum! So I am right where I started - worried about Mila's ears!!
