RATS

I just sat down at the computer and there is a RAT scratching and doing who knows what in the ceiling above me! We heard it a few days ago, actually probably a week ago now for the first time. Although I don't generally support pre-meditated murder.... I stopped off after work on Tuesday to pick up some poison. BAck on Saturday Ihad stopped off for extermination supplies the first time - I picked up an all inclusive mouse and rat catching kit - it had sticky mats, and two different types of traps... and a liquid bait. Seemed reasonable enough - I thought something would work. Kurt climbed into the attic that night and set the traps like a good man... and then we waited. On Monday night we found all the traps were triggered and the sticky things were GONE - absolutely nowhere to be found! Perhaps the rats are cat sized ... and I can just picture that they are using those sticky plates for something ingenious. They are probably decorating with them as I write. Well Tuesday night Kurt put the poison out and he gleefully reported that the SIX bags were totally consumed - not a trace left yesterday. But today it seems as healthy as ever.... or perhaps we have a small colony?
