Obama Inauguration

I feel so excited to be living in America during this time. It was great to feel the hope and unity surrounding the ceremony yesterday ... despite the angst and stress that most are feeling in the current global circumstances. Liam and I were home alone to listen to Obama's inaugural speech.
We spent the morning listening to build up on NPR online. Then moved upstairs for the speech. I was very disappointed that the electrician and the heat contractor who came to fix a couple of things in the house, both arrived during his speech though.... can you believe it??
You would think they would drive around in their cars listening, or something .... but no, they were in MY house!?

Liam and I were excited though. Just look at that face:)

I was quite delighted that Mila was watching at school to. Her teacher sent an email saying they would be eating their lunch in the class room and watching the inauguration - fantastic - a real life education. I was so relieved to get the email because I was considering keeping her home to watch it!
