Well, this weekend there was a great Frog Hunt. Kurt told Mila earlier in the week that he would take her "frog hunting" on the weekend. Despite the fact he spent most of the weekend on the computer for a work deadline... there was no getting out of a commitment like that! Mila planned and prepared in advance - by the time the sun was going down on Saturday, she was dressed in a disguise, so the frogs wouldn't recognise her. Julia dressed up as a princess to attract the frogs... and Kurt put on his frog-hunter's hat.
It turned out more successful than we could have imagined. We literally stepped outside our front door and there were frogs jumping everywhere. They caught TEN frogs in less than 10 minutes. Julia was not interested in touching them, but Mila was just grabbing them and putting them in her 'frog bag'. It was decided that they should be released into the back yard - relocated to the pond. I console myself that frogs eat bugs - so perhaps that is why we have not had too many mosquitoes so far (realistically it is probably just not the season yet).
In preparation for the frog hunt: Princess Julia and who could that be with her?
Notice the magnifying glass, the fake frog to attract the other frogs and that bag that ended up with 10 FROGS in it!
Yes , Kurt enjoyed it just as much as the girls!
The frogs, relocated in our pond - you can see a couple of the gold fish too! Frogs are great... but you can't beat sticks!!
Julia took over the paraphernalia from Mila .... who found she needed hands free to catch frogs.

I love frogs actually. Always have. You gave us a stretchy frog too, for Beren's 4th birthday. we loved that thing. Unfortunately an evil neighbor kid loved it to death. we are on the lookout for another.
