The Glamour of Gallettes

This is my first Gallette - a truly delicious and beautiful dessert. But the best part is that gallettes are easy to make! I read an article in the FOODday by Martha Holmberg - this is a Portland weekly newspaper publication- Tues Sept 5Th 2006. Find it here.
This is what made me tear out this article and file it in my pile of recipes to revisit:

It begins " Why you should learn to make this dish: A fresh -fruit galette is one of the few pastries that gives you a huge payoff for little work. You do have to make the dough (and with a food processor that is easy), but otherwise the thing's kind of bullet proof:"

Bullet proof, huh! well even I could make a pastry that is bulletproof. I took the pic above to prove it. And most importantly it was delicious:)

So galette or gallette I am not sure .... but huge payoff for little work ... of that I can attest.
