Liam will have surgery tomorrow morning at 0930. I will take him to the hospital at 0830 ... very hungry. I went to the hospital this afternoon to do the final check in pre-op stuff and drop over a thousand dollars as a deposit. I would love to get into the cost of medical care and the inhumanity of this - the fact that to remove my child's adenoids would cost $16000 if I had no insurance; and with insurance will cost $8000 (this is only the hospital cost - does not include the doctor or anesthesiologist).
But because that will disturb my inner peace and well being I wil refrain. Instead I will tell you how impressed I am that the anesthesiologist phoned me this afternoon and explained the procedure and courteously answered all my questions. I feel much more at peace now.
