Excema is the ENEMY

Julia got eczema first at 7 months old. At the time I was sure that she must be allergic to some food (as I had just started introducing solids the month before) - but that is a story for another time! Her eczema comes and goes but it really seemed to clear up when we moved to Texas - it went away completely for a few months. However, it came back about a month ago when Mila started school.

Last week it got very uncomfortable for her, with itching keeping her awake at night. My first reaction is to try EVERYTHING, hoping that something will alleviate her discomfort. This is actually the worst approach. With her skin already inflamed and sensitive, I only made it worse by trying numerous creams. I have gone to a "do no harm" approach now - oatmeal baths and a mild J&J colloidal oats baby cream twice a day. It is healing well, but wish it was faster!
