Putting Lipstick On A Pig
I heard this on the radio on Wednesday - after a not wonderful day of Fetal Monitoring Course and it really put a smile on my face. So McCAin used the same phrase refering to Hilary Clinton's medical plan .... but now Obama uses it and he is accused of being sexist?! Take a listen , it is quite entertaining:)

I agree, I think Obama was simply using a term commonly used in polotics. Unfortunately for him, it was just bad timing since Palin had used her lipstick joke earlier. When I heard Obama say that, I immediately thought of Sara Palin because of her comment earlier. Although, if you put the comment in context with the rest of his delivery, it is obvious he was not speaking about Palin.
I fear the slamming from both sides is going to get even worse. It is unfortunate that the closer the election gets both parties seem to have lost their resolve to run a clean campaign without smear adds.
