A Naked Julia and Doting Parents

I am so glad I started inviting people to visit my blog - it is so fun to get comments from great friends - just to feel the connection!! I LOVE the internet - kurt and I often comment on how dependent on it we have become!!
I chucked Liam in the laundry basket because I was on my hip (as per usual) and I need my hands to load more washing or something... he looked so cute and I had to think that he won't always be able to fit in there. So I took a pic.

We had another wonderful storm yesterday, Kurt came home form work early (luckily because there were quite a few accidents with icy roads etc.) We were thrilled to have snow again... who would have thought ... snow in March in TEXAS. By Sunday temperatures will be up to 68 F again :). Unfortunately our thermostat went out yesterday - with probably some of the coldest temps we will get here (just to make life interesting). But I booked a repairman to come out online last night and got a call at 7:58 this morning to say someone would be out at 11am. And they were!! Luckily I grew up without heat in Winter and am used to wearing tracksuit pants (sweat pants for my American friends) and at least 2 sweat shirts around the house and huddling in blankets. Thanks Mom!

Mila and Julia seem hardly to notice the cold. They walk around in barely anything at all. Julia is constantly removing all her clothes to do the "I'm a naked Julia dance". This consists of wiggling her bottom and running around chanting "I'm a naked Julia" at the top of her voice. It routinely occurs at night before bath time and randomly at least twice at any other time of the day!

Mila was listening to Matilda by Roald Dahl on CD this week and she was telling me about how "horrid" Matilda's parents were - "even worse than you, Mama". She told me how her parents didn't like her and preferred her little brother and threw away her library books. This was particularly disturbing for Mila, who lives for books! She said her parents were not the same type of parents as us. Hesitantly I asked her what type of parents we were. She paused to think then said "You know, the doting type". I smiled with relief - at least Mila knows there are kids worse off than her!

Mom and Dad come to visit at the end of the month... CANNOT WAIT.

Ha ha ha . . . naked Julia dance. Beren has a "naked boy" routine that is quite similar. We figure we need to break him of the tendency to be "au natural" by college, but there's still time.

Willa does the same thing, accompanied with the words, "shake your booty-booty-boo-tay!!" No idea where she gets it from!! ;-)
