Sick Julia

Julia woke at 3ish this morning, crying and with a raging temperature. She has been lethargic all day and shaky when she walks. I have been carrying her to the toilet and tucking her up in blankets all day - she is burning up and feeling cold. She has been eating frozen blueberries, bananas and applesauce. It is always amazing to me how children listen to their bodies when they are sick - they eat healthily and rest.... and most often they bounce back to health in no time (here's hoping).

follow up ... Tuesday 18th

So, yes, Julia did bounce back - she broke her fever in the early hours of Monday morning and although she wasn't quite as energetic as usual... she did want to go to the park yesterday. We did a lot of walking , however, and I think we over did it for her. Also we had a late night last night... but that is another post!! Today she is just wanting to lie around the house. We have been cuddling in bed and reading stories all morning. It is WONDERFUL. It is pouring with rain outside... and there is thunder and lightning... a perfect setting for lying in bed and reading all day. It is so great to be able to be at home with the kids on a day like this.
